It's been over a month now since we've updated.
We still haven't picked up any viewers, so I'm assuming right now that I'm writing to no one.
But Potter Sisters is going for a facelift and change as of NOW.
Both Kara and I are making some choices into the change of making Potter Sisters better, so we're working on it.
Upgrading the computer, movie editing equipment, style, and look is whats happening. We're also in the middle of a wrock project, etc.
Not to mention all the Muggle requirements in life like school. Kara and I are both upperclassmen now in our Junior and Senior years (I'm the Junior, I know Kara would want me to specify that) so we're busy with that and haven't found time to get together and actually work at this.

So coming soon is a new and improved Potter Sisters, one that is actually planned out and enjoyable. I think we're going to keep the Pittsburgh video because it's great, and who doesn't love Alex Carpenter? ("They want to hug him. . . hard," LOL) but we're going to be making changes as soon as possible.
Between school and life, both of us working, me teaching dance once a week, it's just complicated to keep up with this. Soon we're be back and better.
I'm also potentially going to be in my local community theatre's production of The Wizard of Oz, which will take SO MUCH TIME it's not even funny. It's a huge production of over 100 people. I auditioned today, and it went pretty well. I'll know by Friday if I made it.
Also, I'm planning my birthday party which is sucking up more time than it should.

So to get to the point;
we're changing.
we're making it better.
we're coming back soon.
we're potentially wrocking.
we're going to get more subscribers and viewers.

The Pittsburgh Vlog

I think Kara definitely summed up our trip to Pittsburgh perfectly. It was a great experience, and a lot of fun. Although we were sad that Melissa and Sue couldn't make it, John and Frak held their own quite well, and we know we'll meet the girls someday.
I got the vlog edited this evening while drinking tons of water and eating some pizza, and after a few hours (with distractions added in) I've gotten our vlog edited!
Again, a few thank yous to go with the ones in the video. Thank you Frak for being so nice and personable when we stuck our heads around the bookshelf corner and handed you a Pellegrino. Meeting you was really awesome, and thank you for the buttons you gave us for driving so far. Alex, thank you for being awesome and making the video for our vlog. I was quite scared to ask you to do it because I didn't know what you would say, but you went way beyond what we expected and we loved you for it. Thank you for just being the awesome person you are and keeping us all entertained. Thank you to everyone else who put the effort into this tour, to all the other bands and the merch girls Sam and Bre, along with everyone else. You guys rock.

The trip was definitely worth it, just the moment of going and being with everyone and hearing Frak say that he recognized us was worth it, not to mention the incredible bonding time that Kara and I had with my mom and my aunt (who is now Kara's mother apparently) is irreplaceable.

I hope you enjoy the vlog as much as we enjoy the trip.

Dear Friends!

Hello My Lovely Lovely Readers! Sarah and I have gone to Pittsburgh and it was fantastic. I'm really tempted to say that the car ride there and home were almost as good as the actual experience, but I bet the adults would disagree. So many great inside jokes were made and many many brain cells were lost. I even gained a new mother, yay for Mama Kristie! Meeting Frak and John from PotterCast (Sue and Melissa couldn't make it *sob*) was defiantly an interesting memory in it's self. I think I gained a husband through a funny witty joke meant to mock fan girls.....well ok then my life is set. :P We jammed out to some awesome wrock bands, I don't think I will ever live down my nerdness. But I won't spoil too many things about our trip, you will just have to watch our soon-to-be-out VLOG. Till then my duckies....enjoy BREAKING DAWN! (in your face Alex.) Love Kara

Road Trip!

An little update.

Kara is home from the beach, but she won't have much time to rest.
Our dear friend Lori is leaving for college on Aug. 7th so we're trying to fit in as many activities as possible. So between Harry Potter's birthday and August 5th, we're running like crazy.
So here is the Potter Sisters itinerary for the coming week.
July 31st - Celebrate Harry Potter's birthday with Chelsea, Lori, and Morgan.
August 1st - Midnight release of Breaking Dawn at Barnes and Noble (Kara is going as Victoria, and Sarah is going as Edward since Chelsea is Alice).
August 2nd - Read Breaking Dawn and PACK for the trip.
August 3rd - Leave at 4:30AM to go see PotterCast in Pittsburgh! (HIGHLIGHT of the year. We'll hopefully get a second to have each of the Quartet say hi on the vlog)
August 4th - Come home from Pittsburgh in the morning and go STRAIGHT to Lori's for her 19th birthday.
August 5th - HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORI, she's old and 19.

We're both really excited about the Pittsburgh trip. I got the official "yes" for going today at church, and I ran upstairs screaming and tackled Kara in the middle of the hallway while screaming "WE'RE GOING! WE'RE GOING!" over and over. We're leaving at 4:30AM on Sunday, driving the 7 hours to Pittsburgh and going straight to the bookstore where the podcast/wrock concert is taking place (we'll hopefully get there at 2). Then we'll see the Remus Lupins, The Whomping Willows, The Mudbloods, and PotterCast. Afterwards we're going to track them down in the crowd and get pictures, and we're going to try and just get a quick second of them saying something to go on the vlog. There will be a ton of people, so we're going to only be able to probably get them to say hi or something, but we're going to try. We aren't driving 7 hours for nothing. The next day we'll come back and then head to Lori's.
We're going to be completely wiped out, but oh well. It'll be worth it.

That's about it for the Potter Sisters right now. Unless we see each other before Saturday outside of party stuff, our next vlog will be the trip. I might try and make a vlog out of our HP birthday and the Twilight book thing but I don't know yet.

Happy one year anniversary of Deathly Hallows!
A year ago today, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released and Sarah Potter was devouring it while Kara froliced around England.
We actually didn't even know each other yet. Scary thought.
Sorry we don't have a vlog to celebrate, but Kara is out of town! We'll have something new up soon.

The Potter Sisters had a sleepover last night and here is the results.

A Road Trip?

Yes, I know what you're all thinking. We just made a vlog last week, but we had something to cover this morning and thought we'd present the idea. Potter Sisters might be making a road trip. Since we couldn't convince PotterCast to come to us (more like we never actually made a true attempt. . .we just joked on the vlog), we're potentially going to them. We aren't confirmed yet, but we're trying to make it up to Philadelphia, PA to see them on August 2 during their East Coast tour. We'll have the actual yes or no on this hopefully by the end of the week, but for now it's a possibility. We're doing everything in our power to go, because it would make our year to be able to actually see the Quartet, meet them, and potentially get them on the vlog for two seconds. So just keep an eye out for the news on if we're actually going or not.

Long Time No See!

Dear Sweet and Innocent Watchers,

It's been forever I know. I'm terribly sorry for not updating in quite awhile. I've just been really busy and when I'm not busy I'm depressed and upset. I'm just going through some weird-ness right now.

I've been watching all the Vlogs and I just realized how moronic I look and talk in all of them.....ALL OF THEM. That very sad fact is not helping to improve my "I just woke up and I hate the world" mood at all. Honestly I always get nervous when people video tape me...so I freak out and go into hyper "Kara has no brain" mode to cover my nerves. Which is totally weird since that never happens when I'm acting on stage. I guess it just means I could never be a movie star.

Ok enough of my pity party of lame-ness. What I really wanted to announce is that.......*drum roll* Bum Bada DAAAAA I'm getting a normal camera!!! I have Nikon D80 DSLR right now so since it's a professional camera it doesn't have video on it. I'm just tired of lugging around this big camera that I'm always worried about breaking to fun events with my friends. SO with my Christmas present I have yet to use (My 50 dollar gift card to Ritz Camera) and my last pay check from the job I quit I'm going to buy a cute little normal use camera!

So never fear Sarah your computer won't have to endure the entire burden of the downloading and uploading of videos and longer!

Potter Sisters Update

Hello there dear nonexistant readers. Sarah Potter updated on the latest with us Potter Sisters.



I haven't gotten to post it yet, but Kara and I were both in a movie we made with some friends which she basically directed. It was a spoof of Project Runway, called Potter Runway and we made it earlier this month. I haven't gotten it up on youtube yet though unfortunately, but it's on Facebook. Kara was Dumbledore and I was Gilderoy Lockhart. We actually made it for Melissa Anelli of PotterCast, and she left a comment saying it was "HILARIOUS" and the "dragon killed her" in it. Unfortunately, it got no mention on the weeks episode of PotterCast though. Sad pandas indeed.



The biggest news ever for Sarah Potter this summer, and I'm completely nerding out as you can imagine.

This Tuesday, July 1, is the Harry and the Potters concert. Kara isn't going but I'm going with my friend Kelsey. If you see this and will be there anyone who might stumble across this, I shall be dressed as Nymphadora Tonks and Kelsey will be Barty Crouch Jr. (: I'm really pumped.




Hopefully Kara will be able to update soon. I've just gotten back from a week at the beach and have been out of touch with her all the while, so a new vlog is hopefully coming soon.

To the readers and watchers on this blog/vlog, with some loves.

I'm alone in the Potter Sisterdom this week. Kara has fun off to the beach with our dear friend Lori, so Sarah Potter is flying solo this week. I thought I would update this with a blog, since no one has responded to the vlog (which is quite fantastic). I was going to actually make a vlog of me, but I didn't feel like it after I got ready. My hair looks quite masculine right now because I've been at a pool party today with some close friends and my hair isn't exactly straight now.

I update mine quite often, usually with ramblings of my day or occasionally a passionately thought out blog about life. The last post I did was actually one of those.
Like I said, I spent today at a pool party. The guy's house we went to was pretty fantastic and huge, and crazy decorated. They have a salt water pool and it was really nice. We played a lot of games and talked and took pictures. I love the people I was in class with this year, they are great people.
Tomorrow the Harry Potter prequel is released online! I'm really excited, even if it is only 800 words long. It was auctioned off for something around $48,000.

One thing we covered in the vlog which deserves lots of expounding upon is the Comparty. I am so thrilled about this you have no idea.
We're starting at 1PM on the 16th, and Kara, Chelsea, Ada, and I are going Muggle bowling. We're dressing up like wizards being Muggles and going bowling, where we'll attempt to pay in Galleons and Sickles. Then we're going to meet up with Lori and Morgan and go supply shopping for our movie project. That night we're going to film the movie, "Project Runway: Harry Potter" for Melissa Anelli on PotterCast. I think it was on episode 142 or 143 when they came up with the idea, but no one has done it yet. So we are making the Project Runway video, and we have clothes and everything ready for it.
Then we're staying up all night, eating cake from Coldstone and making babies (Chelsea made it up). The babies are made from icing, marshmellows, doughtnut holes, and pretzels. We're having a baby eating contest.
After staying up all night, drinking caffiene, and being insane, we are going outside at the crack of dawn, before the sun comes up.
We are setting up a Quidditch field in Lori's yard. Then Chelsea and I are going to spray our hair ginger (orange), put on our red and yellow Quidditch robes with "WEASLEY" written across the back, draw freckles on our faces, and tape off one of my ears. We are the Beaters for the teams (Slytherpuff made of Morgan, Chelsea, and Ada. Gryffinclaw made of Lori, Me, and Kara) so we're being Fred and George (Chelsea is Fred, I'm George). Then we are going to play Quidditch until we literally pass out. Once we cannot move anymore, we'll go home. But we're playing until we nearly die.
It's mine and Ada's going away party, so it should be a blast. We'll have plenty of video and vlog from it. Trust me.

Dear Readers (Pst are there any readers out there?),

I have been feeling very self analytical today. I have decided that I am not worthy of being a Potter Sister, mostly because my knowledge of Harry Potter seems very small compared to Sarah's infinite wisdom of all things wizardly and Harry Pottery....yes pottery... it makes sense so shut up.
Any way that's me being lame.
Now to me being normal. So Sarah will not have a cool blog of me and her from today to post, whenever she does post it.
Why?
Well because I didn't go to church tonight. I can't find any joy outside of my friends in that church anymore. After growing up at my church and knowing how good it used to be, it just kind of makes me hate what it's become. Which leads to a dislike of the people who help get it to where it is now. My church used to be based wholly in spirituality, which detracted a bit from our numbers because it kind of exposed the people playing the church game. For a good while the fog of humanity had been lifted. Then we got a new pastor, who is extremely good in his Texas ways, who has made our church into a face. The youth group is now a face. That's thanks to our Georgian youth pastor with the same ideals as our pastor. Now it's wonderful that we have so many people to share the word of God with, but it's at the expense of our spirituality. Everything is so distracting now. People are so separated into little groups, I feel like I don't know half the people I grew up with and introduced into the church anymore. My loving society is crumbling. My haven from the world is turning into the very world I am hiding from.
I just want to know, when will it stop?

I am so very sorry everyone!!!! We're trying to get the videos up, but I have not been at home to be able to do this for the past four nights. I'm up at my grandparents because one of my grandparents is in Russia right now, and Nan doesn't want to stay alone without him. So I have been with her, being a good granddaughter, for the past four nights (Right now I'm hearing, "SARAH! It's 8:15! You need to come eat and clean up your blankets on the couch! ....). I'm really ready to get home, and actually update this with a real vlog. I think I'm just going to upload the vlogs to Youtube or something, because that seems to be my only option now. *sigh*
Anyway, let's see what we can update you on as far as Potter goes;
The Half Blood Prince trailer is no where to be seen. I'm glad I didn't waste my money to go see Narnia, because it didn't get released with it. If we don't see a trailer soon, I'll cry. For real. WHY WHY WHY does Twilight have a teaser trailer out before Harry Potter? I love Twilight, don't get me wrong, but Harry Potter is better.
PotterCast 151: Spontanious Combustion is fantastic. I'm getting a dreadful feeling though that since 152 hasn't been released, the live podcast on Friday is taking it's place.
On Friday, a live podcast is being recorded in Florida where Melissa and John are. Natalia Tena, Oliver Phelps, Stanislav Ianevski, and Devin Murray are all going to be on the show. (That's Tonks, George Weasley, Viktor Krum, and Seasmus Finnigan for those who didn't know). I'm really really excited about Natalia and Oliver the most , because I love love love Natalia Tena and I have a slight fangirl obsession with James and Oliver Phelps (I'm sad James isn't going to be there. . . )
I don't think there's much other than that. I don't feel like covering the trial right now, because I don't have time. I'll do that when I can sit here for awhile.

I think Kara and I are going to *try* and make a vlog tomorrow night when I see her, so that'll be potentially guest starring Chelsea, Morgan, Ada, and Lori, just depends on who's around when we do it. If not, I am definitely making one tonight by myself to upload and be up soon. I'm so very sorry for making you guys wait like this, but they ARE coming. We just happen to be VERY un-tech savvy....*sigh*

Dear Sweet and loving readers,

I am Kara the other half of this amayzing (this is the way I like to spell amazing so shut up) Potter Sister duo. I look like this.....
I know I'm so hott right :P.
Any way like Sarah said we are doing these lovely vloggy bloggies to entertain ourselves, but what she didn't mention is that we also plan on becoming FAMOUS! from them. I mean really how could we not be famous from this? Just wait till you see our vlogs, they will be good.
I'm hoping I can attempt to upload them onto here from my own computer on Friday when I have access to a computer with flash player. Till then you will just have to suffer.

I suppose I should give myself an introduction.
I am Kara. I am a rising senior and going on 17, and I still can not drive. Curse you laws and permit tests. I'm not fond of sore throats because I'm an actress and a singer and having my voice usually means good things for me. I just finished my last play of this school year. It's called The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (abridged) and it is the funniest thing since sliced bread...yeah. It was my advanced drama class's play which we have been working on all semester and we raise over 2,400 dollars in two nights for our schools drama department. We are amayzing. I hope to attend Dartmouth in a year or so for college and major in psychology and photography and minor in creative writing and musical theater. My past time hobby is writing lyrics and thinking up great ideas for books that I will sadly never have the gumption to write. I have no interest in dating (at the moment) so I am single (plan on staying that way, not that I can help it) and loving it. I am a collector of movies. I love movies any movies. I am also a very awesome critic of movies, so I guess my personality and quirks just go hand in hand...imagine that.

Update 1 - Sarah Potter

Okay, so this blog is already making me mad.

I have a vlog ready to upload that I made the other night, and it's being totally stupid and not uploading. I left this window up for over 12 hours yesterday and it never uploaded, which was horrible. It's quite an accomplishment to keep a single window open 12 hours when I have younger siblings trying to play on here all day.

So eventually, we'll find a better way to upload vlogs. For now, bear with me.

I can give you a BLOG update though, because I have Harry Potter news. YESSS.
Basically I'm excited. The Half Blood Prince trailer is [supposedly] coming out with Narnia on Friday. I am willing to pay $7 to see that commercial in big screen. I'm thinking about trying to pull a group together to go see it, Potter fans or not.
The new PotterCast was great. I listened to it in the car today and got strange looks because I laughed out loud at certain things. It was pretty fantastic. I really benefitted from their discussion of the horrid Tim Wu article. I was going to post about that last week on my own blog, but never got time to sit down and do it. I made me so mad, seriously. And I felt so bad for Melissa, and just everyone involved. I'm sick of this point in the fandom where everyone is turning on everyone and people from the outside are causing problems like this. *GROAN*

Updates on the Potter Sisters; Kara had a play last night and tonight, but I was unable to go unfortunately. So she's been busy. . .I have a dance recital (my last one ever. yesss) coming up Sunday, so I'm prepping for that. We'll be seeing each other tomorrow, so perhaps we can make a vlog while hiding out at church and we'll find a way to post it.

Welcome to our vloggy blog

Hi! Sarah updating for our intro here. I'm sure Kara will post something later.
As it says in our about me, we are Kara and Sarah, aka the Potter Sisters.
This is us;

I have shorter hair now, but that's okay. So I look something more like this now!

But anyway, that's not the point.

We decided the other day to start this blog/vlog for our exciting needs in life. We're both pretty interesting we think, so we wanted a way to just share that with everyone. We'll be blogging and vlogging on this together, alternating posts, to keep it interesting. We'll also try to keep many vlogs on here, because we recently discovered we both have a love for vlogging.
Maybe every now and again we'll stumble onto something informationally substantial, but mostly it'll probably be random talk from us. I know personally, I'll be giving you a lot of Harry Potter, because I'm pretty into that stuff. Here's just a little history on how Kara and I met;

Kara and our group of friends (Lori, Chelsea, Morgan, Ada) are all in a youth group together. They basically saved me from a dark period in my life when I joined this church and knew no one. They've done a lot for me, and I love them a lot. So Kara and I had a little bonding time, just as, this weekend, since our friendship is only a few months old (I feel like I've known them all my life though), and decided to start this whole Potter Sisters thing.

I'll do a quick just intro to me, and Kara can do hers when she posts later.

So I'm Sarah, the Gryffindor of the Potter Sisters. I'm a rising Junior, going on 16. I'm homeschooled, and I won't take any crap about that. I really like not having knee pains, because mine are ruined. I used to be a competition dancer, and I'm paying the price now. Instead of dance now, I'm getting more into drama, especially musical theater. I'm thinking that's the career path I want to take (Drama therapy! woot woot). I'm the large portion of the Potter in this duo, even though Kara is a fan too. I eat, sleep, and breathe everything Harry Potter; it's kind of sad. I am a big fan of PotterCast, I think they are pretty awesome. I have a pretty strange sense of humor, so I'll just apologize for that right now. Basically, just mesh together Nymphadora Tonks, Alice Cullen, and Lorelai Gilmore and you have my personality. It's grand. (:

Alright well, I think that's a suitable intro for us. We're looking forward to updating this, although we know probably no one will see it. We're pretty easily amused though, so we'll post for ourselves if no one cares ;)
